London, England – The future is back! Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment presents the first of four direct-to-DVD “Futurama” adventures when Futurama: Bender’s Big Score makes its highly anticipated DVD debut on 7th April.
The first feature-length “Futurama” action epic, with three more adventures expected through 2009, finds the “Futurama” crew fighting to save Earth in an epic battle against nudist alien Internet scammers. It’s nearly Christmas 3007 when evil naked aliens launch a cyber-attack on the Planet Express and make a shocking discovery: the secret of time travel, mysteriously tattooed on Fry’s buttocks. Using their devious nudist software to control Bender, the aliens send him through history where he has run-ins with the likes of Al Gore, Coolio (Daredevil, Batman & Robin) and Sarah Silverman (“The Sarah Silverman Program,” School For Scoundrels).
In addition to the never-before-seen movie, the Futurama: Bender’s Big Score DVD features commentary from Matt Groening and David X. Cohen, cast members Billy West, John DiMaggio and Phil LaMarr, director Dwayne Carey-Hill and writer Ken Keeler; an animated promo for An Inconvenient Truth starring Bender and Al Gore, with commentary by the former Vice President, Matt Groening and David X. Cohen; an all-new episode entitled “Everybody Loves Hypnotoad” including TV commercials of the future; a “Futurama” mind shattering math lecture; character and design sketches and deleted scenes.
Synopsis:Uncancel your plans for the future — Futurama is back! In this all-new, feature-length epic, evil nudist aliens send Bender on a rampage through time, forcing him — slightly against his will — to steal all of Earth's priceless historic treasures. CHARACTER Q&AsQUESTIONS FOR BENDER
What's it like to go from your normal 22-minute episodes to an epic, feature-length adventure?Normally, in a 22-minute adventure, my face appears onscreen for only 20 or 21 minutes – and I have to beat up Fry and Leela just to get that much screen time. In Bender's Big Score, I finally get to hog the screen for over one full hour, which is exactly what the public has been demanding. And I still beat up Fry and Leela, although this time there was no particular reason for it.
It's been several years since we last saw you. What have you been doing?I spent several years drinking heavily, and after that it was right now. Anyone care for a drink?
Bender, there's a rumor that you commit serious crimes like robbery in the new DVD. Any comment?Sure, I steal some stuff. Tons of stuff. But it's okay, because the stuff I steal is extremely valuable. I want to make sure all the children out there understand this important lesson: stealing things that aren't extremely valuable is a waste of time.
Was it exciting to be working once again with guest-star Al Gore?Very exciting. I even kept his Nobel Prize as a memento. He even inspired us by threatening to give us another lecture.
Bender, if you could be any animal, what would it be?Me.
QUESTIONS FOR FRY
Is it true that there are nude scenes in Bender's Big Score?Yes, the entire crew appears nude. But rest assured, the nude scenes are very classy. Especially the close-up of my butt.
Will you be doing any more new DVDs after this one?Three more! Making a total of, uhm... three plus one. However many that is.
Describe Coolio's performance on the DVD.I wouldn't want to over hype it, so let's just say Coolio rocks the house in the greatest musical performance in the history of mankind, only a million times better than that.
Have you ever taken an intelligence test?Yes, but I gave it back.
QUESTIONS FOR LEELA
Leela, any romance for you this time around?Oh, it's a very romantic story – but not the boring kind of romantic story where people sit around on a porch swing. This is the good kind of romantic story, with disgusting aliens and huge explosions. You'll probably be crying by the end. Make sure to have a box of tissues handy.
Will you be trying a new hair color, or are you sticking with purple?Purple. I don't want to stand out.
Do you have any advice for young cyclops girls who dream of being spaceship captains?Stay in school, practice blowing up galaxies, and remember that in Space America they fly on the right side of the galaxy, but in Space England it's on the left.
You're notorious for your bad temper, Leela. And as a follow-up question, why are you kicking me in the face right now?Hiiiiyyyy-ya!

Hermes, we heard that there's a horrific scene in the DVD in which you lose a part of your body.Yes, but thankfully, it was just my head. It could've been much, much worse.
