Batman: Dark Knight is out soon, on the 25th July I believe? Christian Bale is fantastic as Batman, and has really brought the role forward from those stupid earlier outings. Anyone going to see this?

You're darn tootin' I'll be going to see this. Absolutely loved Batman Begins, in my opinion the best Batman film out there (including Tim Burton's first, which was excellent). The trailers I've seen haven't really given a lot away and I'm happy about that. It's a shame about Heath Ledger, but from all accounts he's done an excellent job bringing the Joker to the screen (particularly after Jack Nicolson did such a good job first time round).

I hope we get to see lots more of the Bat mobile, that was one kick-ass car! I've seen a new Bat bike in one trailer, but bring back the car!

It's been a real comic book year for film so far this year. Iron Man was excellent, The Hulk was very good and I'm expecting great things from the new Batman. Long may it continue!

I'm hopefully off to see this tomorrow night with a mate. I suggested the IMAX in the centre of Manchester, it'd be the first film I've ever seen on IMAX, either there or at a regular screen in our local Odeon. Can't wait either way, all the reviews I've read have been excellent, it appears it's as dark as the first one and then some!

Didn't go to the IMAX in then end, just the local Odeon in the Trafford Centre. Great film, and great acting all round really. It's quite a long film and covers a lot of ground, the trailers don't really spoil the plot, there's plenty more that isn't shown. There's not as much action as Batman Begins, it's as much a psychological thriller as it is an action film and it makes a nice change.
