Ever since The Simpsons began animation hasn’t just been for kids. Nowadays we have Futurama, Family Guy, and American Dad to laugh ironically at whilst simultaneously re-living the childhood thrills that cartoons can bring.

If I had to choose one Disney film to go in my collection then I think this would have to be the one (I don’t count the Pixar releases as Disney films). It was one of the first DVD’s I bought. The main reason for this was that at the time it was a time-limited release, I believe that it’s on general release now though...

I had seen quite a lot of positive reviews of this film so I was looking forward to watching it. Was I disappointed? Well a little, but it was still an enjoyable movie. The story follows the exploits of four US Soldiers at the end of the Gulf War. They come across a map that they believe leads to stolen Kuwaiti Gold and they decide to take home a little momentum of....

What do you get when you combine the Farrelly Brothers with a film that on the surface appears to be about a shallow man suddenly finding fat women looking slim and beautiful.

I had a few reservations about watching this film. Although a lot of people I know had raved about it, they had also raved about "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels". The reason I had reservations is that I seem to be one of the few people I know th

The first time I saw this film was on one of the Sky Movie Channels. For some reason I couldn't get into it and switched channels after ten minutes. Six months later I watched "Go", a great film from the same director (review to come). After this I thought I would go back to Swingers and give it another chance and I'm so glad that I did. This is a very stylish, laid....

Review

For those of you that may not know, Taken was a ten-part min Sci-Fi series that was made for TV with each episode running for around 90 Minutes. The series was basically a story of alien abductions; the story itself follows three families over a 50-year time span. From the skies of France during WWII, right through to the modern day.

Plot

There isn’t so much a main plot in Traffic, it’s more a combination of three different stories all playing out at the same time. Robert Wakefield (Michael Douglas) is an Ohio Supreme Court Judge who has been appointed the new drug Czar but he has one problem in that his own daughter is a drug addict.

Helen Ayala (Catherine Zeta Jones) discovers that her husba

Trigger Happy TV

I had never actually seen this program before watching this disk so I had absolutely no idea what to expect. Many of my friends had been talking about particular sketches and how funny they were (particularly the mobile phone guy). So I was pleasantly surprised to find myself watching 90 minutes of some of the funniest television I’ve seen in a long time.

Trigger Happy TV: Volume 3
steve@digitallard.com  //  11/04/2005 00:00:00

You might be forgiven for thinking that this DVD release is from a new series 3 of Trigger Happy, unfortunately it is not. What we have here is around 45 minutes of sketches from the previous series and some I believe that have never been aired before. There also around 45 minutes of extra features which I’ll get onto later plus an audio commentary for the whole lot.

This was one of the first DVD titles I ever had, so it’s taken me a while to get around to reviewing it. I hadn’t even heard about this film before buying it, but I’d seen lots of talk about it on some DVD news groups and it seemed to be a popular film, so I thought I’d try it out. Plus I’d also gone temporarily DVD insane at the time and was buying just about any film that my credit card could ha

American Pie: The Wedding

Unfortunately Jim, Finch and Kevin fail to keep the wedding a secret from Stifler. While Jim and Michelle prepare for the wedding.....

I have to confess that I wasn’t very enthusiastic about watching this film, as I knew it was based around American Football. It’s not that I have anything in particular against American Football. It’s just that I’ve never watched the game and have absolutely no idea about the rules of the game...
