    Release News - ARAGAMI & 2LDK DVD Details

    From Tartan Video’s Asia Extrmem collection comes ARAGAMI/ 2LDK (The Duel Project). Out on DVD on the 24th of October 2005 at a RRP of £19.99, here’s the full press release:

    Two directors. Two films. One set of rules.

    Producer of Ring, Shinya Kawai threw down the gauntlet for two young filmmakers to make a film according to a specific set of rules. There should be no more than three characters – one of which must die - set in one location, and to be shot on a small budget over seven days. And so The Duel Project was born.

    ARAGAMI, directed by Ryuhei (Versus) Kitamura and starring Masaya Kato (Gozu, Agitator), takes Samurai myth and forges a duel between a swordsman and a war god in a remote temple. The second film, 2LDK, from Yukihiko Tsutsumi, follows the feud between two actresses who become rivals for a TV role. Since they’re also flatmates it becomes even more personal, a fight to the death.

    Both films can be watched independently, but they are like Siamese twins. You can’t watch one without the other. Inseparable viewing that gives duel pleasure.

    ARAGAMI and 2LDK are released on retail DVD (rrp £19.99 each)

    Both are anamorphic widescreen presentation;
    Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround and DTS Digital 5.1 Surround

    RELEASE DATE: 24 October
