Everybody’s favourite tortured soul is back in Angel: The Vampire Anthology! Stake your claim to Cordelia, Wesley, Gunn and Fred in four special DVDs available to buy on 1st August 2005 from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. Each DVD in the collection focuses on a particular member of the Angel gang and features their best episodes as hand-picked by creator Joss Whedon.
Cordelia
Former Sunnydale cheerleader Cordelia Chase (Charisma Carpenter, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) moved to LA to seek her fortune after daddy’s long-standing tax evasion depleted her funds. Struggling to catch her big break, Cordy appointed herself to help out at Angel Investigations. The episodes in Cordelia’s collection follow her from arrival in the city to turning half-demon and gaining supernatural powers that leave her with a terrible headache!
Wesley
After abandoning books for a more hands-on approach Wesley Wyndam-Price (Alexis Denisof, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) is the ex-Watcher and ex-rogue demon hunter, and second member of Angel’s team. In Wesley’s journey he rescues Cordy from the demon underworld, impersonates Angel and finally gets a girlfriend.
Gunn
Vampire hunter and vigilante Charles Gunn’s (J. August Richards) life changed forever when his sister was turned into vampire. Sporting a pickup truck decorated with stakes, Gunn took a while to warm up to Angel but is now a firm part of the team. His collection includes a face-off with his old gang and a visit from a debt collector who has come to fetch his soul.
Fred
Winifred “Fred” Burkle (Amy Acker) is a scatterbrained genius rescued by Angel from an alternative universe and life of servitude. It has taken a while for Fred to readjust to the real world, but the help of her friends, especially Gunn, has been invaluable. Fred’s story features her rescue, a visit from her parents and an assassination attempt on her old science teacher...
